BAPTISM CLASS FOR KIDS: Tuesday, August 12, 6-7:30pm

In this class for kids, age 8-11, we will explore baptism in Scripture and learn the meaning and the significance of this important decision for followers of Jesus. At the conclusion of the class, children will meet individually with a pastor and have an opportunity to ask questions and/or share their personal decision to get baptized.

Parents do not need to attend class with children. Kids will be sent home with materials and are encouraged to continue discussions at home.

Celebrate Father’s Day and an unforgettable Blitz Sunday with us! Kids are encouraged to wear their Summer Blitz T-shirt and will get to perform a Blitz song on stage during the gatherings, and we’ll enjoy a Blitz highlight video during the gathering. Then stick around after each gathering for our cowboy-themed carnival—featuring a mechanical bull, axe throwing, games, and treats. Join us at 9 or 10:45am—fun for the whole family!

For our wonderful Summer Blitz volunteers, we ask that you attend our mandatory volunteer training. This training is for all volunteers—adults, high schoolers, and middle school LITs. At this fun training, you will:

• Get a sneak peek at what our campers will be learning and find out important need-to-knows for keeping kiddos engaged, happy, and safe.

• Receive training for your specific volunteer area.

•  Pick up your Summer Blitz T-shirt.

It’s time to move up a grade! Our wonderful staff and volunteers will be there to welcome your kids and make them comfortable in their new space!

Lakeside Baby Dedications provide parents with the opportunity to publicly commit, in the presence of the church family, to raising their children to know Jesus. Babies, ages 0-23 months, are welcomed up on stage for introduction and a personalized prayer with Pastor Brian. This is a special and memorable time for both families and the church, as we treasure babies as a precious gift from God.

We ask all parents who are dedicating children to connect with Pastor Jen the week before on Sunday, APRIL 27 @ 9am in Kids Room 4, downstairs in the main building. Please email if you need to schedule another time to meet . KIDS@LAKESIDECHURCH.COM.

We are on mission to show the love of God to our community! On the 4th Sunday of every month, we encourage everyone—kids, students, and adults— to join forces and each give $4 “4Folsom!” 

Our April 4Folsom funds will be donated to Powerhouse Ministries’ upcoming Corn Hole tournament fundraiser.

Come dance the night away with your daughter, granddaughter, or a special little girl in your life! A live DJ will keep the dance floor hopping all night, and we'll also enjoy snacks, crafts, and some friendly dance floor competitions! Please invite your friends! We can't wait to see you there!

Our dance floor will open promptly at 6:30pm, but our Photo Booth in the Lobby will open at 6pm.

This event is geared for girls 4-years-old through 8th grade.

Cost: $30 per couple, $10 each additional child.

During Both 9 and 10:45am Gatherings

Don’t miss our annual Lakeside Kids Christmas Sing-Along at both the 9 and 10:45am gatherings. Children, wear your favorite, festive holiday outfit and come ready to sing out loud! Parents, this is a Lakeside favorite, so please arrive early to check in your children and grab some great seats. The celebration will continue after the gathering with hot cocoa, treats, and family photo area.

Families, you are invited to bundle up and join us for an ice skating night in Historic Folsom! Lakeside Kids is reserving the whole rink for a night of skating, Christmas music, hot cocoa, s'mores and treats, and of course, fun! 

We have limited capacity, so please sign up soon! For little ones or parents/grandparents who are not skating, you are welcome to join in the fun; please register as a "non-skater" so that we know you'll be there!

6:00-6:30: Arrival at The Block (Chat and hang out while your kids play!)

7:00: Movie with Free Popcorn

We'll enjoy the movie downstairs in The Block with lots of free popcorn! Bring blankets or low-back chairs for seating. Candy will be available for purchase.

4/5 Kids is a ministry group for 4th and 5th graders to deepen friendships and grow in faith while in community. Every month we have fun activities and food, and we learn about living boldly and wisely as followers of Jesus. We are looking forward to exploring this year's theme, "Heroes of Faith."

If you are in town for Labor Day weekend, we are having a “BLOCK” party during our kids gatherings as a grand opening of our new space! This Sunday is going to be packed with FUN, so invite a friend and don’t miss out! Grades 1-5 can all check in at The Block!

Sun, Aug. 25: During Lakeside Kids (9 or 10:45am)
Grades 1-5 will all get to preview our new kids room AND we’ll enjoy some hot pancakes as we wrap up our August teaching series on the faith-filled life of Joseph. This preview Sunday will be super helpful in preparing first and second graders for their transition to a new room, so don’t miss out! (For Grades 1 and 2, please check in at Kids Room 6 in the Main Building)

9 & 10:45am Gatherings

Join us for our celebration of an amazing week at camp. Kids will get to perform one of their Blitz songs on stage, and we’ll enjoy a Blitz highlights video. And hang out on the patio after the gatherings—Kona Ice will be available for purchase, and we’ll have bounce houses!

All our wonderful Summer Blitz volunteers— adults, high schoolers, and LITs—are asked to attend this mandatory training. Starting Memorial Day weekend—May 26—kids and students will be moving up to the grade that they will enter into in the fall.

• Incoming 1st graders will move into our 1st-2nd classroom in Kids Room 6,

• Incoming 3rd graders will move into our 3rd-5th grade classroom upstairs in The Block.

• Incoming 6th graders will promote to Middle School Ministry (MSM) at 10:45am downstairs in The Block.

• Incoming 9th graders will move to High School Ministry (HSM) beginning Sunday, June 2 at The Block.

Children and teens with special needs (ages 4-14) and their siblings (ages 4–14) are invited for a night of fun and connection.  With loving support and focused attention from volunteers and staff, kids will enjoy an evening filled with games, art projects, and sensory activities. Parents, enjoy a night to yourselves! We also need volunteers for this event!

Fifth graders are invited to come check out our Sunday MSM gathering and see what MSM is all about before promoting on May 26! Check in to Lakeside Kids as usual, and then we’ll head to MSM together. 5th graders are also invited to stay for the 2nd Sunday @ MSM event, where we keep the party going after the gathering—free food, friends, and fun and games!

2nd Sunday @ MSM: 11:45am-1pm
