MSM Girls Group
MSM Girls Group is a favorite of middle school girls from our entire community. Girls meet twice a month during the 2023-2024 school year to share in friendship and faith while engaging in meaningful gatherings and fun.
Girls Group alternates between meeting at The Block and at their small group leader's home.

MSM Guys Group
MSM Guys Group is a chance for middle-school boys to connect twice a month during the 2023-2024 school year with their peers and leaders for teaching and activities, including archery, tag, nerf battles, RC cars, and our infamous gravity cars.
Guys Group is held every other Friday during the school year with breaks around the holidays. The group alternates between MSM Guys Together, held in the Auditorium at Lakeside Church, and MSM Guys At Home, held at the small group leader's home.

Move-up Sunday
Starting Memorial Day weekend—May 26—kids and students will be moving up to the grade that they will enter into in the fall.
Incoming 1st graders will move into our 1st-2nd classroom in Kids Room 6,
Incoming 3rd graders will move into our 3rd-5th grade classroom upstairs in The Block.
Incoming 6th graders will promote to Middle School Ministry (MSM) at 10:45am downstairs in The Block.
Incoming 9th graders will move to High School Ministry (HSM) beginning Sunday, June 2 at The Block.
Summer Blitz Volunteer Training
All our wonderful Summer Blitz volunteers— adults, high schoolers, and LITs—are asked to attend this mandatory training. You'll get a sneak peak at what the campers will be learning about and find out important need-to-knows for keeping kiddos engaged, happy, and safe. You will also receive training for your specific volunteer area and pick up your Summer Blitz T-shirt.

2nd Sunday @ MSM

We’ll be there over the 4th of July holiday this year and get to experience Hume’s awesome parade and 4th of July celebration!

MSM Fall Extravaganza

MSM Hike Day
Join us for a fun afternoon hiking in Auburn. This hike is considered moderate at 4.4 miles round trip with just 600 ft of elevation gain. It is a straightforward hike on a clear path/trail with no technical challenges. All skill levels including first-timers should feel comfortable on this trail.
Students will get the chance to hike alongside the river while taking in amazing views of cool bridges and even a few waterfalls.
We will depart for the trailhead right after the MSM 10:45 gathering on September 17 and expect to be back by 5pm.
MSM New Parent Meeting
If you're a parent of a middle schooler who is new to our ministry, please join us for a short meeting to hear all about the ins and outs of MSM! No registration needed.
MSM Baseball Bash
Enjoy the last days of summer break as we watch the Rivercats take on the Reno Aces at Sutter Health Park! We will spend the morning hanging out in Old Sacramento before heading over to the game!

LIT REMIX
June 5–8: 5-8pm
Hey middle schoolers! This event is for you! We are taking all the things you love about Summer Blitz and being an LIT and REMIXING them into an amazing camp-like experience for you. After you volunteer as an LIT at AM Blitz, come back in the evenings for LIT Remix! (LIT Remix is available to LITs as well as any incoming 6th-8th grader.)
LIT Remix is an all new experience for middle school students. Students will experience four fun-filled nights full of games, music, messages, recreation and everyone’s favorite…food!

• $20 (if already serving as an LIT at AM Blitz)

*Any student who is currently registered as an LIT for PM Blitz can switch their registration and attend LIT Remix, if preferred.

Girls Night Out on Sutter Street
Middle-school and high-school girls . . . enjoy a night out with friends and get in the Christmas spirit on Sutter Street! We will begin the evening at Hacienda Del Rio Restaurant for dinner and fun raffles, plus receive a cute fanny pack!
Then, head out with your group’s tour guide to wander the shops in the Folsom Historic District and indulge in sweet treats and discounts just for our group!

MSM Active: Bike Ride
Stay active this summer! Our first MSM Active will be a bike ride. We’ll start at The Block, ride to Boba/Starbucks or Taco Bell (E. Natoma/ Blue Ravine), and end back at Lakeside (approx 7 miles). Students will need their own bicycle/helmet, water, and money for food/drink. Meet at The Block at 9am; we will leave at 9:30am.

MSM Hume Lake Summer Camp: June 26-July 2
Middle schoolers will enjoy an amazing week of high-energy adventures and activities, silly skits, suspenseful night games, and life-changing Christian development at Hume Lake Summer Camp.
Camp will center around the theme Truth Be Told, and campers will look at the life of Jesus through the book of John to see how Jesus defines himself as truth.

Incoming 6th Grade MSM Parent Info Meeting
Parents of incoming 6th graders, meet our staff and volunteers and learn more about all things MSM (Middle School Ministry)! Join us after MSM on Sunday, June 12. We’ll get started right after the MSM ends, and we will be raffling off a $100 credit for camps and activities! Students can attend the meeting or join one of our leaders outside for a game.

Are you a graduating 8th grader? Would you like to see what a High School Ministry gathering is like? If so, join our HSM gathering on Wednesday, May 18th at 7pm. You'll get a chance to meet our incredible leaders, worship God through music, and play games that will help form connections! We'll also finish off the night with ice cream sandwiches!
Spring Break Student Service Trip
Each spring students are given an opportunity to make a big impact in a big city.
During Spring Break we take middle school and high school students to serve the homeless, poor, and marginalized in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco. This trip is open to all middle school and high school students who have a heart to serve. Mandatory trainings:

MSM Pancake Sunday
MSM Pancake Sunday is the second Sunday of every month. Middle schoolers are invited to come early to the regular MSM gathering and enjoy a free pancake breakfast! All of The Block games and activities will also be open for students to enjoy. No registration required.
Student Ministries Unity Worship Night
Come join Lakeside Student Ministries as we join with other youth groups in the Sacramento Area for a night of worshipping through music at Mosaic Church in Rocklin! Students will be responsible for arranging their own rides but those who drive themselves are welcome to meet at The Block at 6:15pm for a caravan to the event.
MSM Christmas Party
Come join us for our MSM Christmas party held during our regular MSM Sunday gathering on Sunday, December 19 at 10:30am. Wear your ugliest Christmas sweater for our sweater contest. We will have cinnamon rolls, reindeer games, and a message about Baby Jesus. Bring a friend. Hope to see you then!
