Incoming freshmen, get a sneak peak of High School Ministry (HSM) before promoting to HSM at the end of the month! You’ll get to see what HSM is all about, meet the leaders, and hear about all the exciting things happening at HSM this summer!

HSM Homework Help
High schoolers, need some help with your homework, projects, and assignments? Come to Homework Help where you’ll receive valuable assistance from our volunteers—many of whom are current and former educators and who specialize in math, science, and English. We’ll provide some light snacks and a great atmosphere for getting those assignments done well! No registration or cost.

Move-up Sunday
Starting Memorial Day weekend—May 26—kids and students will be moving up to the grade that they will enter into in the fall.
Incoming 1st graders will move into our 1st-2nd classroom in Kids Room 6,
Incoming 3rd graders will move into our 3rd-5th grade classroom upstairs in The Block.
Incoming 6th graders will promote to Middle School Ministry (MSM) at 10:45am downstairs in The Block.
Incoming 9th graders will move to High School Ministry (HSM) beginning Sunday, June 2 at The Block.
Summer Blitz Volunteer Training
All our wonderful Summer Blitz volunteers— adults, high schoolers, and LITs—are asked to attend this mandatory training. You'll get a sneak peak at what the campers will be learning about and find out important need-to-knows for keeping kiddos engaged, happy, and safe. You will also receive training for your specific volunteer area and pick up your Summer Blitz T-shirt.

HSM Summer Campout
June 17-22
High schoolers won't want to miss this favorite week of the year! Campout at Camp Alta is a life-changing week, with meaningful conversations at night by firepits, incredible teaching from a speaker who will inspire students to model their lives after Jesus, and impactful time with small groups to help deepen and form their faith. There's also LOTS of time for swimming, archery tag, 9-Square, and volleyball, plus an awesome lake day for boating and paddle boarding!

HSM Parent Meeting
There are a lot of exciting things happening in HSM! Join us to find out more about our upcoming scheduling change to the HSM gathering, from Wednesday evenings to Sunday evenings. This is also a great opportunity for incoming freshman parents to learn more about all that HSM has to offer their students. And we'll have tacos! Please register so we get an accurate headcount.

HSM My City Youth Conference
Friday, March 1– Saturday, March 2
Come join Lakeside HSM as we join the My City Youth Conference! We’ll encounter God’s transforming power, love, and presence through incredible music, and lifechanging Scripture-based teaching! After the Friday night session, we’ll head back to The Block for more games and fun, and we’ll spend the night in a lock-in. Then we’ll get breakfast and head back to the conference for another full day of growth!
Here’s what conference organizers hope students gain: “Our hearts desire to see young people touched by the power of God, be discipled in the Word of God, and find their place in the family of God. Our goal is that in our time together, youth would have a fire ignited within them that cannot be extinguished and that they would give themselves wholeheartedly to the cause of Christ in the earth.”

HSM Redefine Grace Anxiety Study
This group is for any high schooler who is struggling with anxiety, depression, or stress. We’ll learn helpful insights and tools to manage stressors and discover how to renew our faith and rest in God’s grace through both scriptural and psychological lenses. Lunch will be provided. Cost: $15 for the book.
HSM Bonfire Night
High schoolers, kick off 2024 with a bonfire, smores, games, acoustic worship, and a chance to invite God into this next year! No registration needed.
HSM Skate Night
High schoolers, enjoy a night of skating and ‘smores with friends at the Historic Folsom Ice Rink! We have reserved fire pits for a warm place to hang out and for making ‘smores when taking a break from the rink. Invite a friend, and we hope to see you there!

HSM Serve Day at the Food Bank
High schoolers, come serve at the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank’s Thanksgiving outreach and show the love of Jesus!
Meet at 10:15am at the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank at 6483 Main Ave, Orangevale, CA 95662. Students will need to provide their own transportation. Our volunteer shift goes from 10:30am-noon. Afterward, students are welcome to join Aaron and the rest of the team for lunch at Dairy Queen, 9295 Greenback Ln, Orangevale, CA 95662.

HSM All-Nighter
It’s time for the annual All-Nighter—an incredible eleven hours of hanging out with friends for an entire night of high-energy action . Get ready to ride the Screamer at Scandia, jump the night away at Sky Zone, and hang out at Country Club Lanes for unlimited bowling, arcade, and laser tag. Our hope is that by the time the sun rises, you’ve created memories, invested in friendships—both new and old—and found deeper connections with each other and with your high school leaders.

Friday Night Friends
Friday Night Friends is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where teens and young adults who have special needs (ages 14-22) can come together with their peers for a time of fun, laughter, and friendship building. It's a place where everyone belongs and their unique qualities are celebrated.

HSM Night Slides
Night Slides at Sunsplash is a High School Ministry (HSM) summer favorite! Students won’t want to miss this awesome event!
Students will need their own ride or carpool. We’ll meet for an early dinner at In-n-Out (1803 Taylor Rd, Roseville—next to Sunsplash) at 3:30pm. We will then walk over to Sunsplash together for Night Slides. Pick up is at 9pm at Sunsplash.
COST: $25
(Students will need to bring extra money for In-n-Out.)
HSM BBQ and Pool Party
Summer is here and the best way to hang out is by eating some great BBQ and hopping into a pool! HSM will be hosting pool parties throughout the summer on Monday nights. All pool parties are from 6-8 PM and will be an incredible time with friends.

HSM Blitz Rally
High-School Blitz Volunteers! You put so much energy and effort into Summer Blitz! We want to invest in you! Come to our HSM Blitz Rally. We’ll hang out, eat food, play games, and spend time preparing our hearts for an incredible week of leading and serving kids at Blitz. This is a chance to chill out after all the studying you'll be doing finals. Oh, and you won’t want to miss the chance to win some prizes in our giveaway!

HSM Study Hall
Need a place where you can study, get ready for finals, or finish up a group project? Come to HSM on Wednesday, May 17 from 7-9pm, and we’ll have some brain food for you and a place to power through your homework. We'll also have volunteers to help you out with that pesky math or science assignment.

HSM Study Group: Engaging with Scripture
Fridays, Feb. 17-March 31 (We will not be meeting March 17), 5-6:30pm
High schoolers, you're invited to this six-week study where you'll get to engage with the Bible as you study Scripture and discover how it applies to your own life ... and, ultimately, get to know Jesus better through his Word.
HSM Small Groups
Our HSM (high school ministry) small groups are a great place for teens to get connected with peers and leaders and talk about issues relevant to their age and their faith. All of our HSM small groups meet at Lakeside on Sundays at 12:15 pm after the 10:30 am gathering.
Girls Night Out on Sutter Street
Middle-school and high-school girls . . . enjoy a night out with friends and get in the Christmas spirit on Sutter Street! We will begin the evening at Hacienda Del Rio Restaurant for dinner and fun raffles, plus receive a cute fanny pack!
Then, head out with your group’s tour guide to wander the shops in the Folsom Historic District and indulge in sweet treats and discounts just for our group!

High School Ministry (HSM) Parent Gathering
Parents of high schoolers! Come enjoy an evening with our High School Ministry team as we have some snacks and get to know one another, talk through important topics, and partner together as we serve your students. No registration needed.

Take the opportunity this summer to develop your talents, learn some new ones, and stretch your creative muscles. If you want to learn an instrument, get better at painting, spend some time writing poetry, practice magic tricks, or any other fun talent you can think of, try out HSM's Creative Workshop. We’ll also have some opportunities for you to flex your new skills at our Open Mic Night on August 5.

High schoolers won’t want to miss this transformational, faith-building and relationship-building week at Collins Lake. It will be an incredible time of games, activities, adventure sports, and fun hanging out on an awesome double-decker boat and giant floating water slide. Students will also love the opportunity to worship in the great outdoors and hear from an engaging speaker, learning about what it looks like to model their life after Jesus.

Come join us on Wednesday nights from 7-8:30pm on the Patio off the Main Auditorium. This group will be a space for parents and guardians to connect with each other, learn from each other, and study how to support our high school students well.
