ARRIVAL at summer blitz

Drop off is at 8:45. Please arrive early (before 8:45) to park and walk your campers in.

  • Enter Lakeside Campus from Oak Avenue Parkway entrance. (Lexington entrance is closed.)

  • You will be instructed where to park by our traffic team. Then, you will walk your campers to the outdoor camp Arena on the Lakeside field.

  • Follow the signs and find your child’s group in Rotation Area A, B, C, or D, and proceed to check your camper in with their small group leader.

LIT & High school volunteer drop-off

Parents dropping off LIT/HS volunteers, follow signs for LIT/HS Drop-off Lane. This lane will be open from 8:00 to 8:45. This is for LIT and HS volunteers ONLY.

  • NEW: We cannot accommodate early camper pickups after 11:30am. If you need your camper to go home early, please make sure to let our registration tent know prior to camp.

  • SAFETY ID #’s: In the camp T-shirt bag, every camper will receive a camper identification card on cardstock. This identification card must be presented to a small group leader at the end of each day in order for you to pick up your camper.  PLEASE TAKE A PHOTO OF THIS ID CARD! You MUST have this card, or a photo of this card, to pick up your camper.  NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. LIT’s and HS volunteers with this ID CARD will be allowed to pick up campers.

  • Any individual who arrives to pick up your child WITHOUT this security code will be directed to the Registration Tent. They will need to present a photo ID and must be the parent/guardian or the emergency contact person on your child’s registration.

  • CHECK OUT STICKER: Once you have properly checked out your child with their small group leader, your child will be given a CHECK-OUT STICKER to place on the front of their T-shirt. When you exit the Arena with your children, we will check that your campers are wearing this sticker!  If they are not, you will be sent back to their small group for appropriate check-out. Please leave this sticker on until you have exited campus.

Parents, you will walk to your child’s group square to check-in your child with their small group leader every day.

  • At the start of each week, every camper will get a group ID wristband with their group number. NEW: This wristband is to be worn all week. Please do NOT remove this from your camper till end of camp Thursday. If your camper loses or removes their wristband, please visit our registration tent for a new wristband before camp starts.

  •  Campers will receive a name tag to wear at the start of each day.

  • IMPORTANT: Once your child is with their group, please exit campus immediately. For camper safety, we cannot begin rotations until all parents are off campus.

  • If you are running late, there is a late check-in area where you can check in your child. NEW: We cannot check in late arrival campers until 9:30, so please expect to wait if your child is not checked in to camp by 9am.

BLITZ giving project

Each year at Summer Blitz, campers get the opportunity to participate in an giving project and learn about the impact they can make through generosity. We add in a fun boys vs. girls competition, and the kids are all about it!  Campers are encouraged to bring their coins and dollars each day this year to help their team—and to help other kids in our community—get ready for school. All money raised will support the Twin Lakes Food Bank Back 2 School Extravaganza on August 1. Together, we’ll help provide essential school supplies for 350 kids in Folsom, including:

  • Brand-new backpacks

  • School supplies

  • Hygiene and snack bags

  • Haircuts

  • Gift cards for clothes

  • Gift cards for shoes
