Arrival at Summer Blitz

Drop off is at 8:45am. Please plan on parking about 8:30 and dropping off your camper at 8:45.

  • Enter Lakeside Campus from Oak Avenue Parkway entrance. (Lexington entrance is closed.)

  • You will be instructed where to park by our traffic team and will then walk your campers to the Outdoor Camp Arena on the Lakeside field.

  • Follow the signs and find your child’s group in Rotation Area A, B, or C and proceed to check your camper in with their group leader.

Parents, you will walk to your child’s group square to check-in your child with their group leader every day.

  • At the start of the week, every camper will get a group ID wristband with their group number. This wristband is to be worn all week. Please do NOT remove this from your camper till end of Blitz on Thursday. If your camper loses or removes their wristband, please be sure to let your child’s group leader know before camp starts.

  •  Campers will receive a name tag to wear at the start of each day.

  • IMPORTANT: Once your child is with their group, please exit campus immediately. For camper safety, we cannot begin rotations until all parents are off campus.

  • If you are running late, there is a late check-in area where you can check in your child. We cannot check in late-arrival campers until 9:30, so please expect to wait if your child is not checked in to camp by 9am.

Camper Check-in

LIT & High School Volunteer Drop-off

Parents dropping off LIT/HS volunteers, please follow signs for LIT/HS Drop-off Lane. This lane will be open from 8:00-8:45. This is for LIT and HS volunteers ONLY.

Camper Pick-up

  • We cannot accommodate early camper pickups after 11:30am. If you need your camper to go home early, please make sure to stop by our registration tent prior to the start of camp to let us know.

  • SAFETY ID #’s: When you pick up your camper’s T-shirt, you will also be given a cinch-bag containing your camper’s identification card on cardstock. This identification card MUST be presented to a small group leader at the end of each day in order for you to pick up your camper.  PLEASE TAKE A PHOTO OF THIS ID CARD! You MUST have this card, or a photo of this card, to pick up your camper.  NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. LIT’s and HS volunteers with this ID CARD will be allowed to pick up campers.

  • Any individual who arrives to pick up your child WITHOUT this security code will be directed to the Registration Tent. They will need to present a photo ID and must be the parent/guardian or the emergency contact person on your child’s registration.

  • CHECK-OUT STICKER: Once you have properly checked out your child with their small group leader, your child will be given a CHECK-OUT STICKER to place on the front of their T-shirt. When you exit the Arena with your children, we will check that your campers are wearing this sticker! If they are not, you will be sent back to their small group for appropriate check-out. Please leave this sticker on until you have exited campus.

What to Bring and Wear

Please have your camper wear:

  • Their 2026 Summer Blitz T-shirt with shorts and comfortable shoes or sandals.

Blitz Giving Project

We are excited to take part in Convoy of Hope’s One Day to Feed the World campaign. The concept is simple—by giving one day’s wages, we can literally transform lives. Kids can donate their allowances (and any other money they’d like) and for every $120 our Blitz campers donate, they will provide a year’s worth of school lunches to an impoverished child. And to make giving even more fun, we make it a boys vs. girls competition—because a little friendly competition goes a long way!

Spirit Days

  • MONDAY: Summer Blitz 2026 T-shirt (and a smile!)

  • TUESDAY: Crazy Sock Day

  • WEDNESDAY: Crazy Hair or Hat Day

  • THURSDAY: Team Spirit Day (Wear team color or be wildly creative to show camp spirit!)

Celebration Sunday

Join us on Sunday, June 14 for Summer Blitz Celebration Sunday! Kids are encouraged to wear their Blitz T-shirts and will take the stage during the service to perform a Blitz song—complete with hand motions and voices lifted. We’ll relive all the best moments with a highlight video from their week at Blitz and celebrate their generous donations for Convoy of Hope!

Volunteer Snack Donations

Help fuel hundreds of volunteers who are serving at Summer Blitz! Items from the Amazon Wish List will be automatically shipped to Lakeside. Thank you for your generosity!

Thank you for your cooperation! The safety of your children is our highest priority!
We look forward to an incredible week of fun and learning about God’s amazing love for us all.
See you soon!
