Summer Scripture Reading Plan
Join our summer Scripture reading plan, which will complement our Sunday teaching series: Head and Heart. We’ll be diving into the book of Proverbs, which speaks to the head, and the book of Psalms, which stirs the heart. High School Summer Camp
Join us for CIY Move this summer!
We’re heading to Biola University in Southern California for an incredible week of faith and fun! Students will have access to Biola’s top-notch athletic and recreation facilities, including tennis courts, a turf field, and lighted outdoor courts for basketball and sand volleyball. For those who love games beyond sports, there will be plenty of opportunities for group competitions, games, and late-night hangouts. Amid all the excitement, they’ll engage in unique programs featuring amazing speakers designed to deepen their faith and foster lasting friendships.
Students will depart from the Block at 6:30am on Monday, July 14th. The roadtrip will include a brief stop for lunch. Students will return around 4:00pm on Saturday, July 19th.

Students @ the Aquatic Center
Lakeside students are taking over Folsom Aquatic Center on a Friday night! Both middle and high school students are invited to a 'Lakeside only' pool party!! Lifeguards will be present, and adult leaders as well. The snack bar will be open for snack purchases.

BAPTISM is an outward expression of faith for those who have decided to commit their lives to Jesus. Baptism illustrates transformation, and each baptism is worthy of a party, so baptisms at Lakeside are a true celebration!

HSM A's Game
High schoolers are heading to West Sacramento for a night at the ballpark as the Athletics take on the Houston Astros! Tickets are just $5 to help cover transportation—but spots are extremely limited!
Please arrive at the Block by 5:30pm on June 18th. Students will head to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento.
Students will head home at the conclusion of the 9th inning.

MSM Movie Night @ Palladio

You’ll have the chance to win a Home Depot gift card… whether for yourself or that legendary father figure who can’t stay away from the lumber aisle.

Blitz Celebration Sunday
Sunday at 9 & 10:45am
Celebrate Father’s Day and an unforgettable Blitz Sunday with us! Kids are encouraged to wear their Summer Blitz T-shirt and will get to perform a Blitz song on stage during the gatherings, and we’ll enjoy a Blitz highlight video during the gathering. Then stick around after each gathering for our cowboy-themed carnival—featuring a mechanical bull, axe throwing, games, and treats. Join us at 9 or 10:45am—fun for the whole family!

Summer Blitz
Summer Blitz camp for kids TK-5th is an action-packed four days your kids are not going to want to miss, full of entertaining skits, wet ‘n wild fun, creative arts and crafts, and worshipful singing. This year kids will be “Set Free” to experience the love of Jesus—in the Wild, Wild West! Yee-Haw! Adventure awaits!

Summer Blitz Volunteer Training
For our wonderful Summer Blitz volunteers, we ask that you attend our mandatory volunteer training. This training is for all volunteers—adults, high schoolers, and middle school LITs. At this fun training, you will:

Lakeside Blood Drive
One hour of your day can save a life! We have a goal of collecting 16 successful donations, which means we need about 23-24 donors. Donors will be entered into a Vitalant drawing for a trip for four to Universal Epic Universe theme park in Florida!
THINGS TO KNOW:
The donation process takes about one hour. The actual blood donation takes about 5-7 minutes.
Donors must bring a photo I.D. or Vitalant donor card.
Drink plenty of water ( two to three 16-ounce bottles of water two hours before donation).
Eat a hearty, iron-rich meal two hours before donation.
Must be free of cold and flu symptoms for five days.

You must be 16 years old to donate, and 16 year old’s must have a signed Vitalant parent consent form found at Donor Forms (vitalant.org) and available at the blood drive. There is no upper age limit for blood donation.

Hiking Group
The Hiking Group will be hiking the loop around Jenkinson Lake at Sly Park in Pollock Pines—an 8.3 mile hike with rolling terrain. This is a great hike to start the hiking season, as the snow melts in the higher elevations. We hope you can join us!
Meet at the Lakeside parking lot, and then we’ll head together to Sly Park. For more information and to RSVP, please email Mike Smith at michael.smith16@att.net

HSM After Party
Join us at In-N-Out after our HSM Sunday gathering for burgers, fries, and shakes! We’ll hang out until 9:00 PM.
Students are responsible for their own transportation and food. Parents are welcome to join!

High School Parent Meeting
Parents of incoming 8th-12th graders! Join us for lunch and a meeting about HSM and the upcoming year! You'll hear about camps, small groups, HSM Sundays, and the summer schedule. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions about the ministry.
Please register to let us know how many people will be in attendance so we can order the proper amount of food.
If your student is remaining on campus during the meeting, they can hangout in the Block Auditorium.

Baby Dedications
Lakeside Baby Dedications provide parents with the opportunity to publicly commit, in the presence of the church family, to raising their children to know Jesus. Babies, ages 0-23 months, are welcomed up on stage for introduction and a personalized prayer with Pastor Brian. This is a special and memorable time for both families and the church, as we treasure babies as a precious gift from God.
We ask all parents who are dedicating children to connect with Pastor Jen the week before on Sunday, APRIL 27 @ 9am in Kids Room 4, downstairs in the main building. Please email if you need to schedule another time to meet . KIDS@LAKESIDECHURCH.COM.

4Folsom
We are on mission to show the love of God to our community! On the 4th Sunday of every month, we encourage everyone—kids, students, and adults— to join forces and each give $4 “4Folsom!”
Our April 4Folsom funds will be donated to Powerhouse Ministries’ upcoming Corn Hole tournament fundraiser.

BAPTISMS AFTER EACH EASTER GATHERING, APRIL 19-20
There's no better time than Easter to take this exciting next step in your faith journey!
Baptism is an outward expression of an inner commitment to Jesus. At Lakeside we practice what is known as baptism by immersion—the submerging of a follower of Jesus into water and rising up out of the water—representing our death to sin and our resurrection to new life in Christ.
(Baptisms will take place outdoors on the Easter patio after each of the gatherings, approx. Saturday 5:15pm & 7:15pm; Sunday 9:15am, 10:45am & 12:15pm)

Join us at Lakeside this Easter! We're excited to invite you to one of our five special gatherings, where you'll experience a fun and meaningful celebration for all ages. We'll be sharing the hope and joy of Jesus in a way that's relatable and engaging. Plus, stick around after each gathering for a "party on the patio" with food, drinks, baptisms, and community! And if you're joining us on Saturday, don't miss our Easter egg hunts for kids! We hope to see you then!

HSM Serve Day: Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services
High schoolers - join us as we start off Spring Break by serving our community in need. We'll head to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services to work in their warehouse, preparing food for those in need throughout Sacramento County.
Students will carpool to the food bank and will be provided lunch. Please arrive at Lakeside by 10:45pm. Students will return around 4:00pm. Please print and bring the completed wavier to the event.
A few other things to note:
Volunteers must wear closed-toe and closed-heeled shoes. Tennis shoes, boots, or sneakers are ideal —no Crocs, strap-backs, slippers, or sandals. No part of the toe or heel can be exposed. The warehouse is not climate-controlled and may be very cool or warm, depending on the outdoor temperature. Please dress accordingly.
All volunteers must be age 10 and up.
Masks are optional.
Please also dress in comfortable clothing that is okay to get dirty.
Please leave purses or backpacks at home or in the car.
Please bring your water bottle with a lid.

Baptism Class for Kids
Baptism Class: Wed, Apr 9: 6-7pm
Baptism: Easter Sunday
In this class for kids, age 8-11, we will explore baptism in Scripture and learn the meaning and the significance of this important decision for followers of Jesus. At the conclusion of the class, children will meet individually with a pastor and have an opportunity to ask questions and/or share their personal decision to get baptized.
Parents do not need to attend class with children. Kids will be sent home with materials and are encouraged to continue discussions at home.

Young Adults: Lunch & Life Talks
Young adults, join us in the Lounge in the Lobby after the 10:45 gathering for a laid-back hangout with good food, great conversation, and real connection. This is a space to build community with other young adults who are navigating life and faith together. We’ll share lunch, connect with one another, and dive into meaningful discussions about what it looks like to follow Jesus in our everyday lives. No one is meant to go through life alone—come find connection and encouragement with others on the same journey.

If you would like to be baptized, are simply exploring the idea, or are just curious about what baptism is all about, our Baptism Class will walk you through what it means, why we do it, and what the experience will be like.

HSM Dodge the Dark
Join us for Dodge the Dark—a glow-in-the-dark dodgeball night packed with fun, friends, and flying neon dodgeballs! We’ll have pizza, glow-in-the-dark paint, and plenty of epic battles under the blacklights. Come to HSM and stick around for the glow-up!

HART Winter Shelter
SERVING & DONATION OPPORTUNITIES!
Winter Shelter: March 2-8
Join us in serving the unhoused in our community by volunteering with the Folsom HART Winter Shelter. The HART Winter Shelter provides care for the most vulnerable members of our community, by providing a meal and overnight shelter for up to 20 guests in the Folsom area.
Lakeside is hosting one week of the shelter. Each day of the shelter requires about 15 volunteers, with serving areas including:
Dinner
Overseeing showering
Providing overnight supervision (greatest need)
Laundry
This is a wonderful opportunity to serve hands-on and show God’s love to our unhoused neighbors.
Unable to serve? You can contribute necessities by purchasing off our wish list. We’ll hand these items out to our shelter guests.

After church, we’ll be heading over to Moonraker in Cameron Park to grab lunch and hang out! No agenda—just good food and great company. Once you sign up, we'll send you all the info.

Find connection and community with others in similar stages of life by attending our 55+ Dinner. We will be treated to a delicous cordon bleu dinner, complete with sides. And we will enjoy live entertainment from Christian comedian Dennis Gaxiola, along with lots of time for catching up with friends and meeting new friends!

Young Adults Chipotle & Chat
Join us for the 10:45 gathering and then stick around for lunch! We’ll be ordering Chipotle and meeting in the Lakeside Lounge to eat and connect. Our discussion will focus on Friendship and Community, and we’ll wrap up by splitting into groups of guys and girls.

Father-Daughter Dance
Come dance the night away with your daughter, granddaughter, or a special little girl in your life! A live DJ will keep the dance floor hopping all night, and we'll also enjoy snacks, crafts, and some friendly dance floor competitions! Please invite your friends! We can't wait to see you there!
Our dance floor will open promptly at 6:30pm, but our Photo Booth in the Lobby will open at 6pm.
This event is geared for girls 4-years-old through 8th grade.
Cost: $30 per couple, $10 each additional child.

High School Winter Retreat
High schoolers, get ready for an unforgettable Winter Retreat in Santa Cruz this February!
We'll spend the weekend at Camp Santa Cruz, packed with games, worship, and beach fun. Plus, on Saturday, we’re heading to the iconic Santa Cruz Boardwalk for rollercoasters and arcade games! You won't want to miss this exciting weekend getaway!
For current 9th - 12th Graders.

Regular (11/18-2/16): $215
Registration covers travel, meals at camp, and lodging. Be sure to bring spending money for Saturday’s lunch at the Boardwalk, and you can also pre-purchase a ride wristband for the day.
