Every 3rd Thursday: 5:30-7:30pm
Sept 18-April 16
Every third Thursday of the month, 4th and 5th graders gather for an evening packed with fun games, activities, and yummy food! Kids will build friendships, connect with leaders, and dive into relevant conversations about life and faith that will encourage them to live boldly as followers of Jesus. It’s the perfect place to invite friends from school, sports, or the neighborhood to join in on the fun!
Cost: $45 (Includes a T-shirt and all food & fun!)
Community Service Day
Folsom's Community Service Day is our city's largest day of volunteerism, and 2025 marks the twelfth year of the event. The day mobilizes about 2,000 volunteers of all ages and interests to complete projects throughout Folsom that will have a lasting impact in our community.
Lakeside’s Role
As one of the founding partners of Community Service Day, Lakeside plays an integral role as the central launching point for hosting all 2,000 event volunteers. We have slots for about 100 volunteers to help us host! Will you join us?

Women's Community
Tuesdays, 6:30-8pm

We weren’t meant to follow Jesus alone. Women especially flourish when we grow together, encourage one another, and sharpen one another. Come connect with other women, be equipped for the everyday, strengthened for the week ahead, and reminded that God is at work in you and through you!
We’ll begin our Tuesday evenings as a large group with a shared time of learning before moving into small groups for meaningful discussion and prayer.

Baptism
Sun, Oct 5: Baptisms During 9 and 10:45am Gatherings
There's no better time than now to take this exciting next step in your faith journey! Baptism is an outward expression of an inner commitment to Jesus. At Lakeside we practice what is known as baptism by immersion—the submerging of a follower of Jesus into water and rising up out of the water—representing our death to sin and our resurrection to new life in Christ. The practice of baptism illustrates transformation, and each baptism is worthy of a party, so baptisms at Lakeside are a true celebration! Register now!

Foundations Study Group
Sundays, Oct 5-Nov 9: 6-7:30pm
Following Jesus is a beautiful and crazy journey, and we are here to equip you with tools to help you along your journey. Through this Foundations six-week study group, we'll learn about the basics of the Bible and provide a roadmap to help you engage in Scriptures and grow in your faith. We'll also explore tools for building a healthy devotional life and discover fresh ways to engage with Jesus. You will find a safe place here to ask questions while also growing in a community.
55+ Harvest Feast Potluck

Get ready for High School Ministry’s 2nd Annual Slamfest!
We’ll kick things off at 6pm with HSM—featuring games, a powerful message, and worship. Then stick around for the highlight of the night: our epic dunk contest! The champion will walk away with a brand-new Sacramento Kings jersey.

High School All Nighter
The High School All Nighter is Here!
Get ready for an unforgettable night of fun on November 7 and 8! Starting at 10pm, students will kick off the night with an epic adventure, as we head to awesome spots throughout the Sacramento area! This year, students will visit RollerKing, Country Club Lanes with Laser X, and Rebounderz Trampoline park.
A late-night dinner will be provided around midnight, and students can purchase additional snacks, candy, drinks, and merch at each stop along the way. We'll wrap up the night with a pancake breakfast back at Lakeside before students are released between 5:30am-6:00am. Trust us—this is one night you won’t want to miss!

The Woods: Middle School Winter Camp

Middle schoolers, don’t miss this incredible weekend! We’ll join many middle schoolers from several area churches for our Winter Camp in Challenge, CA, at Woodleaf for an action-packed few days. We’ll enjoy a live band, dynamic speakers, and meaningful conversations in heated mountain cabins to result in friendships and life-changing growth in your faith.

Middle and High School small groups launch September 3rd!
Join us on Wednesday nights to meet in a small group, grow in faith, build real friendships, and connect with trusted adult leaders who care. Our launch party will include extended worship, snacks, and time with your group.
Each month features a rhythm of high-energy worship nights, engaging Bible-centered discussions, fun themed hangouts, and intentional space to go deeper in community. Whether your student is new or has been around for years, this is the place to belong and grow.

Join us for a peek into serving with Lakeside Kids! During this orientation, you will hear more about our Kids ministry and tour classroom spaces to see our current volunteer team in action, as they care for and lead our children. This orientation takes place during the gatherings, so please select either 9 or 10:45am.
You will also receive clear next steps if you would like to join our volunteer team. Free Live Scan will also be available during this time for all of our future adult volunteers!

Lake Baptisms

Baptism Class for Kids
BAPTISM CLASS FOR KIDS: Tuesday, August 12, 6-7:30pm
BAPTISMS: Sunday, August 17, 6-8pm (Nimbus Flat State Recreation Area)
In this class for kids, age 8-11, we will explore baptism in Scripture and learn the meaning and the significance of this important decision for followers of Jesus. At the conclusion of the class, children will meet individually with a pastor and have an opportunity to ask questions and/or share their personal decision to get baptized.
Parents do not need to attend class with children. Kids will be sent home with materials and are encouraged to continue discussions at home.
NOTE: If your child is interested in baptism, and can NOT attend the class, please reach out to Pastor Jen at kids@lakesidechurch.com

Doris Lake Hike
We're going big for our summer hike, and this one will not disappoint! We'll be hiking to Doris Lake on the west side of Desolation Wilderness, on a route with approximately 1,800 feet of vertical climbing. We’ll go at an even pace, with some breaks along the way.
For this hike, you'll need to be an experienced hiker and in excellent fitness.

High School Summer Camp
Join us for CIY Move this summer!
We’re heading to Biola University in Southern California for an incredible week of faith and fun! Students will have access to Biola’s top-notch athletic and recreation facilities, including tennis courts, a turf field, and lighted outdoor courts for basketball and sand volleyball. For those who love games beyond sports, there will be plenty of opportunities for group competitions, games, and late-night hangouts. Amid all the excitement, they’ll engage in unique programs featuring amazing speakers designed to deepen their faith and foster lasting friendships.
Students will depart from the Block at 6:30am on Monday, July 14th. The roadtrip will include a brief stop for lunch. Students will return around 4:00pm on Saturday, July 19th.

High schoolers are heading to West Sacramento for a night at the ballpark as the Athletics take on the Houston Astros! Tickets are just $5 to help cover transportation—but spots are extremely limited!
Please arrive at the Block by 5:30pm on June 18th. Students will head to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento.
Students will head home at the conclusion of the 9th inning.
MSM Movie Night @ Palladio

Blitz Celebration Sunday

Celebrate Father’s Day and an unforgettable Blitz Sunday with us! Kids are encouraged to wear their Summer Blitz T-shirt and will get to perform a Blitz song on stage during the gatherings, and we’ll enjoy a Blitz highlight video during the gathering. Then stick around after each gathering for our cowboy-themed carnival—featuring a mechanical bull, axe throwing, games, and treats. Join us at 9 or 10:45am—fun for the whole family!
Summer Blitz
Summer Blitz camp for kids TK-5th is an action-packed four days your kids are not going to want to miss, full of entertaining skits, wet ‘n wild fun, creative arts and crafts, and worshipful singing. This year kids will be “Set Free” to experience the love of Jesus—in the Wild, Wild West! Yee-Haw! Adventure awaits!
