Christmas Offering
Hurricanes Helene and Milton have resulted in unprecedented devastation. We are committed to making a significant impact in their recovery through our Christmas offering, which is already available for giving. Through our parternship with nonprofit humanitarian organization Convoy of Hope, we have a goal of raising $40,000 to help 1,000 families. Convoy of Hope is committed to delivering hope with food, shelter, and care and meeting emotional, spiritual, and financial needs beyond insurance coverage. Click below and use the pull-down menu to choose “Christmas Offering.”
Frozen Pie Drive
Lakeside is partnering with Twin Lakes Food Bank to ensure members of the community have a holiday meal and to show them our care and support. The food bank will be handing out groceries for 300 Thanksgiving meals —complete with turkey, sides, and a pie, and we are grateful to take part. We’ll have a freezer in the Lobby at our gatherings in Nov 3-24. Bring frozen, store-bought pumpkin or apple pies with you to church and bless someone’s holiday!
(Please note, Twin Lakes Food Bank cannot accept fresh pies, such as Costco pies.)
Christmas Around Towne Toy Drive and Volunteer
Christmas Around Towne is a beautiful example of community collaboration, with 40 area churches and organizations participating to provide a shopping experience, meal, and program, for our neighbors experiencing financial hardship. Sponsored by Lakeside mission partner Powerhouse Ministries, and hosted by Lakeside, the event is a massive operation, with 825 guests and 400 volunteers. Lakeside is responsible for the toy store portion of the event, including stocking and staffing the store. Help us collect 2,000 new and unwrapped toys! Toys can be dropped off during our gatherings or purchased off our wish list. And we have Christmas Around Towne volunteer opportunities!
