Christmas Around Town is one of our favorite times of the year, as we collaborate with Powerhouse Ministries and dozens of Folsom churches and organizations to provide a shopping experience for our neighbors experiencing financial hardship.

Lakeside hosts Christmas Aroune Town on our campus and also has the privilege of managing the “toy store” for the event

SERVING NEEDS:

1) TOY STORE VOLUNTEERS

• Sign up for a date to prep/inventory toys prior to Christmas Around Town.

• Sign up to serve in the Toy Store at Christmas Around Town on Sat., Dec. 12. (Important: If you want to volunteer at the Toy Store on Dec. 12, please also sign up for at least one prep/inventory day!)

2) EXTRA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES (SAT, DEC. 12)

• Serve on our Lakeside childcare team by supervising children while parents shop

• Serve on the childcare check-in team

• Serve on the and gift-wrap distribution team 

AGE GUIDELINES

• Toy Store Volunteers (Dec. 12): Registration is for adults.

  • Elementary kids and students may serve with their parents, with parental supervision. 

• Childcare Volunteers: Registration is for Age 14 and up

• Childcare Check-in Team: Registration is for adults

• Gift Wrap Distribution: Registration is for age 16 and up

Special Note--Bike Assembly: We need a lot of helping hands to build bikes. If you select this option, you’ll be providing general toy help along with building bikes needing assembly! We also may reach out to you to pick up bikes at Lakeside, assemble them at home, and return them to Lakeside.
