The Gift of Giving

Folsom pulls together each Christmas season in a massive community-wide effort to bless our community with the Christmas Around Towne holiday celebration. Sponsored by Lakeside mission partner Powerhouse Ministries, and hosted at Lakeside, this year twenty-nine churches, businesses, and charities are collaborating to provide a shopping experience, Christmas banquet, and Christmas program of hope and love for our neighbors experiencing financial hardship.

“This is such a wonderful event to ring in the spirit of the Christmas season. It is very rewarding to know that you contributed to blessing someone with a loving and wonderful Christmas experience when they would have otherwise had a very meager Christmas, if any at all,” said Lakesider John Stassi and longtime Powerhouse board member.

This year marks the seventh year for this incredible event. Lakeside is excited to again stock the toy store, and we are asking for your help to donate 2,000 new and unwrapped toys. Think bikes, scooters, Legos, dolls, action-figures, games, crafts, balls—anything to bring a smile to a child’s Christmas and to help parents get to experience the gift of gifting to their kids! 

We will begin collecting toys in the Lobby at our Sunday, November 7 gathering. Donations can also be dropped off throughout the month of November at the church office Mon-Thurs, 8:30am-4pm. You can also purchase off our Amazon wish list below and have items sent directly to Lakeside (745 Oak Ave. Pkwy, Folsom, CA 95630). We also need volunteers to work the event!
