Mission Partner Update: AIM
YOU can help defeat human trafficking. January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and Agape International Missions (AIM)—a Lakeside missions partner dedicated to rescuing and healing survivors of sex trafficking—is providing opportunities for you to find out more about sex trafficking and to pray against its evils.
On January 31 AIM is hosting AMPLIFY, an online prayer event, where you can pray alongside thousands of others against trafficking and the bondage of slavery. Sign up for a timeslot below and receive prayer points as well as videos from speakers.
AIM was founded by Don and Bridget Brewster of Roseville, Calif., who took action and moved to Cambodia after learning that little children were being sold for sex every night. AIM has shut down brothels and rescued more than 1,500 women and children—as young as four years old—providing not only physical freedom but also resources for emotional and spiritual freedom.
The Christ-centered organization shows survivors the love of Jesus, provides an education center and employment center, and helps survivors reintegrate into society knowing they are loved daughters of God. Soon, AIM will expand to Belize as well.
AIM is offering a virtual tour of their facilities in Cambodia so you can find out more about trafficking and their efforts to defeat it. The tour is being offered on Monday, Feb. 8 at 5pm and will be led by missionaries who are actively involved in rescuing and healing survivors.
