Activate Hope
As part of Lakeside's Activate Hope initiative, we've requested nominations for local businesses so we can recognize them and activate hope around us.
Where we spend our money not only makes a difference in our local economy but also in the lives of our entrepreneur friends and neighbors who are experiencing particularly challenging times right now. Adrian Blanco Jewelry, located on Natoma Street, received our first nomination and is a beautiful example of a business owner who activates hope.
In its three short years in business, Adrian Blanco Jewelry is already well entrenched in the community. “I personally value the Folsom and El Dorado Hills neighborhood because when I opened, they adopted me as one of their own,” owner Adrian Blanco said.
Adrian values supporting the community and says his business has never turned down a donation request.
His store has sponsored events for Folsom High School and Vista del Lago and has also donated to Twin Lakes Food Bank, Powerhouse Ministries, and even to Santa’s new sleigh through the Folsom Police Officers’ Association.
At the start of COVID, Adrian spearheaded a PPE Drive through the Rotary Club and also donated 100 face masks. He and his four employees recently collected 80 coats to donate to a coat drive for veterans, and they are currently collecting toys at the store to donate to Lakeside’s Toy Drive.
Adrian Blanco Jewelry is a prime example of a business that invests in our special city, highlighting the importance of supporting our local business owners. “I’m blessed to live out my dream of owning a jewelry store in this great community, so I try to give back and bless others in our area," he said.
