Thank you for your interest in having Lakeside Church be a part of this very special time in your life. Our ministry staff is eager to assist you in preparing for a Christ centered marriage. Our pastors are available to perform weddings at offsite venue locations. Currently weddings held here at our Lakeside campus are unavailable due to multiple church gatherings that are scheduled each weekend.

Couples are asked to read the Lakeside “Philosophy of Marriage” Covenant together and submit an agreement form along with the wedding application which must be completed and received 4 months in advance of the wedding date. All couples are required to participate in and complete the Premarital Counseling Course taught by our trained lay counseling team.

A Premarital Counseling Course fee of $100 and a $40 materials fee are due when submitting the wedding application. It is customary to provide an honorarium for the officiating pastor who will be joining you for the rehearsal and performing the ceremony. The suggested amount is $300. Couples are required to provide overnight accommodations and mileage expenses for destination weddings located more than 2-plus hours away from Lakeside Church.

Premarital
Counseling 		This is a required course for all couples who are requesting to be married by a Lakeside pastor. A wedding application and a “Philosophy of Marriage” Covenant agreement form must be completed and submitted 4 months in advance of the wedding date with the required fees.

All couples are required to participate in and complete the Premarital Counseling Course taught by our trained team of lay counselors who are mentor couples. Mentor couples will work with premarital couples to schedule sessions and meet upon availability.

The Premarital Counseling Course is currently being offered to couples as needed throughout the year. The course consists of an Introductory Meeting and Session One with your assigned pastor, Sessions 2-7 with your assigned mentor couple(s) and one final session to Plan Your Wedding with your assigned pastor.

The course fee is $100 – the materials fee is $40 (includes two workbooks) titled: Before “I Do”, Preparing for the Full Marriage Experience, by K. Jason Krafsky. The course fees will be collected at the time the wedding application is submitted.
