The Ends of the Earth
“The ends of the earth” means the same today as it did for those who first heard Jesus speak these words. We are called by Jesus to go to every corner of the earth to fulfill his mandate as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20. In this “great commission”, Jesus sent his followers to bring His message in such a way that all kinds of people would become his passionate and productive followers. His mandate continues through the church until it is fulfilled “and the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). Lakeside is active in this process through the prayerful development of Global Zones that would provide a way in which we could be involved in the witness for Jesus worldwide.

Global Zone Teams
Lakeside on Mission has identified seven “zones” of the world within which we would seek to develop a Strategic Partnership by 2010. The formed Zone Teams are responsible to develop and oversee ministry within that Zone. The following Global Zones will be developed over the next five years:

• Africa – Schmidt Family, World Venture (Mozambique)

• Latin America – Mark Edwards, International Teams (Costa Rica)

• Eurasia – Andrusyak Family, SEND (Russia)

• East Asia – Houlette Family, World Venture (Japan)

• South Asia – Jesus Film Project (Cambodia)

• Middle East Extended
