Happy New Year!
I hope that you entered 2012 with a great sense of God’s presence and anticipation about his work in this remarkable year! I am excited for what is ahead and it all begins this month with another New Year to celebrate January 22 & 23 – Chinese New Year! Jim and Peggy Price – pictured at left in front of a Beijing McDonalds – will join partners Doug and Melody Penney from Taiwan in sharing at the Lakeside on Mission Briefings later this month. You won’t want to miss one of these times which will inspire and inform you about what has been happening through Lakeside on Mission and what is ahead.
But even before we get to that weekend, we will celebrate the MLK weekend with two big events. We will commission three of our “term partners” leaving for Mozambique at the Ten service on Sunday the 15th. Later that day, we will join with thousands of other area Christians to kick off the Sacramento Festival season of service at Capital Christian Center (see details below). This is another can’t miss event as we hear incredible preaching from Luis Palau, amazing black gospel music and hear of the opportunities to serve the Lord.
I hear Jesus words, “Come follow me” into 2012. I will. Will you?

PRAY for the Love Your Neighborhood Initiative
Love Your Neighborhood will connect Lakesider’s in the neighborhoods of Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Orangevale and Cameron Park around the idea of what it means to show and share the love of Jesus to our neighbors. It will all begin in late February with “Meet Your Lakeside Neighbors” desserts at various are schools. What might your neighborhood look like with everyone experiencing the love of Jesus?
Contact Pastor Jeff at jeffkreiser@lakesidechurch.com if you want to serve to shape this initiative.

GIVE to the Lakeside on Mission Fund
Start the year with a financial gift marked to Lakeside on Mission fund. Be generous. 100% of mission funds go to advance mission through our partners, projects and mobilization.
We would like to have at least 100 Lakeside households (currently at 31) participate in the $10×52/1000 program. Very simply, this is asking you to give $10 a week for a year. By 2015 we hope to have 1000 Lakeside households participating.
If you plan to make a weekly or monthly pledge, we strongly encourage you to go online and set up an electronic fund transfer (EFT). It has been our observation that follow-through on pledges dramatically increases with the decision to schedule an EFT. This is a tool that allows our intentions to become actions. You can schedule to give online by clicking http://lakesidechurch.com/giving-faqs/.
How do you schedule an EFT for Lakeside on Mission?
At Lakeside, we use an online database called Fellowship One. This system allows us to provide you access to your contribution records and allows you to make donations online. Fellowship One provides all of the security for the system and it is used by churches throughout the country. Your information is held securely by Fellowship One, will remain private and will never be given away or sold to third parties.
