The Groove

4th & 5th graders dig into the Bible to find answers to the tough questions they are asking about faith, relationships, and the choices they make. Each week they explore several key verses in the Bible that relate to the topic being studied that act to give them a foundation for what the Bible says about these issues. In each case, we strive to help the 4th/5th graders understand the Bible message through small group discussion and peer relationship building in a relevant, fun environment.

High Five is a fifth grade only ministry that is geared toward serving our community, reaching out to fellow fifth-graders, and participating in and hearing God’s Word.  We will have events throughout the school year that are a great time for all who participate. We want fifth-graders to not only have an awesome experience, but to be living out their faith in tangible ways.  The events are on various Fridays throughout the school year.

We also need parents to help us by participating in these events. We are looking for parents to help with both pre-event planning and during the event.  If you would like more information, or are interested in helping in either aspect, it would be greatly appreciated. Scavenger Hunt — September 10
Our first event of the season will be a great time. We will be having fun activities followed by a scavenger hunt and our very own ice cream truck. To register click here.

Sky High — November 5
We will meet at Sky High for an awesome time of jumping, dodgeball, and hanging out. You still must register through our website to receive a discount.

Fry Night — January 14
Join us for a fun filled night. We will be traveling to “fast food” restaurants, eating their fries and voting on who has the best fries in town.

Bounce Night — February 11
Come for a fun time complete with bounce houses and inflatable’s in the Auditorium. This will be an exciting night.

Ultimate Kick Off — March 25
Calling all 5th graders for another High 5 event where we will be having some good old fashioned fun with tie dying, having Twinkie eating contests, playing penny arcade games and playing fun field games!

Ultimate Sleepover — May 6
The Ultimate Sleepover will be a night of fun activities, relationship building, food, and surprises.

Baccalaureate — May 21
The Baccalaureate service is a time for reflection, dedications, and looking forward to futures. It is truly a special day that culminates the end of KIDSFEST and graduates 5th graders from KIDSFEST into MSM. Refreshments will be provided.
