Body & Soul
Body & Soul is a nation wide Christian ministry founded in1981 that provides both physical & spiritual benefits for those who participate. Each class is a complete work-out, with high and low cardio aerobics. We also include integrative lower & upper body strength training, along with Pilates core training. Routines are choreographed by an A.C.E. Certified instructor and are reflective of the latest trends in the fitness industry. We meet Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6 – 7 am in The Café @ The Block. MOPS
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom – urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms – moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. We meet in the Auditorium from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. You can register online here . The cost is $145 for entire year, $80 for the Fall Session or $70 for the Spring Session. Childcare is available through our Little Steps program. Christmas Celebration
Begin the holiday season with our Women’s Christmas Celebration. Enjoy an encouraging message, music and a delicious meal. Take in the spectacular sights of decorated holiday tables. Each table is decorated uniquely for the Christmas Season by volunteer table hostesses, creating an inviting & personal atmosphere for your special guests and friends. It’s all wrapped up in one wonderful event for you. We have the same program content at each event. Our speaker this year is Lois Rabey. You can check out her website at www.rabeywords.com. We offer three different times to come: Thursday & Friday, December 3 & 4 from 7 – 9:30 pm and Saturday, December 5 from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm. The doors open ½ hour before the event so you can enjoy all the beautifully decorated tables.
Thursdays Together
Thursdays Together consists of several women’s small groups with a variety of topics that meet from September through May to study Scripture, pray and build relationships. Each Thursday we begin by meeting at Lakeside in room 211 for an informal fellowship and snack time at 9:15 AM with each small group starting at 9:30 AM in various rooms at Lakeside. Sample topics include marriage and parenting books, Beth Moore studies, Precepts, individual books of the Bible, Women of Faith studies, etc. For more information or a current list of topics contact thursdaystogether@lakesidechurch.com.
Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones is a women’s group that meets Tuesdays in the morning and evening. We start with about an hour of teaching, then break into small groups to discuss the topic and personal application. Our goal is to learn how to be more like Christ and how to apply wisdom from Scripture to our everyday lives. Within the large group, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from Libby Vincent and Peggy Price as they teach and interpret the Bible. The smaller groups offer a chance to ask questions and have open discussion, as well as a place to develop lasting friendships with other women who are seeking God. Retreat
Set aside a weekend to grow deeper in your walk with the Lord, rejuvenate your soul and fellowship with your sisters in Christ. Our Women’s Retreat is March 19 – 21, 2010 at Zephyr Point Conference Center in Lake Tahoe, NV.
Words For Women
Words For Women
Join us for one or all of the special Saturday morning small group meetings designed especially for women. We will feature various speakers to present words that are Enlightening • Encouraging • Challenging. These sessions will be inspirational and powerful. There will also be time devoted to sharing, praying and fellowship.
